Manor of Hermerel is primarily a farm. We are breeders for generations. François arrived here in 1960 with his parents. In 1975 he succeeded his parents as a farmer and in 1976 the owners sold all the manor farm, buildings and land. In 2001, for European environmental standards we have  build new barns.

Just steps from Isigny sur mer, first dairy village of  France, our main production was of course milk. With our herd of 55 cows carefully selected we produced nearly 500,000 liters of milk per year.

But none of our four children has had the vocation of farmer then from spring 2014, we decided to lighten the workload and constraints. Today we produce  cereals, mainly wheat.

However, being located in the natural park of marshes, we have some « lowlands » reserved for a small breeding traditional beef cattle that is the pride of François herd.
